Our story

I'm Juliet, a mum living in London and the founder of Tumble.

When I first became a mum, I imagined slow mornings, coffee with baby in tow and finding my village along the way. Instead, I found motherhood lonelier than I expected.

Living in Notting Hill, I was spoilt for choice when it came to baby classes, yet making meaningful connections wasn't always easy. I spent evenings scrolling Instagram, hoping to discover a class or local playgroup I hadn't managed to find elsewhere. I'd search websites, jump between platforms and book what looked like the nearest stay-and-play, only to discover it was miles away — sometimes passing a local church offering exactly what I'd been looking for on the walk home.

When I moved back to Richmond to be closer to family, I noticed the same thing. Brilliant local activities were happening all around me, but finding them was far harder than it should be.

As I started planning for baby number two, I decided there had to be a better way.

That's how Tumble began.

As I started building Tumble, I looked into how after-school clubs were booked and was genuinely shocked. Registration after registration, payment after payment, the same clunky process repeated every term. In this day and age, why was something so everyday still so complicated?

Then I started vibe coding — and I couldn't stop. The more I explored, the more opportunities I saw to make family life simpler.

I also knew Tumble had to do things differently. I refuse to let paid promotions dictate what families see first. Free stay-and-plays and community groups deserve to be discovered just as much as paid classes. If something exists locally and is relevant to families, it deserves to be found — not just because someone has paid to be listed, but because it's there.

A family directory as it should be.

Tumble is about making family life easier, with a growing range of features designed to take the hassle out of discovering, organising and booking activities. Less time scrolling Instagram, navigating endless websites and dealing with admin; more time focusing on what really matters.

Because it's about more than finding something to do. It's about finding your people, discovering your local community and making the most of those little years.

Less searching. More playing. More connection.
