Lewes Bonfire

The largest Fifth of November celebration in the country, with more than thirty processions run by six independent bonfire societies. The organisers are explicit that it is not suitable for very young children, pushchairs, the frail, or anyone with breathing problems, because of the crowds, noise and smoke. Firesites are ticket-only, there is no parking, and roads close from around 2pm.
