Durham Christmas Festival
Three days of markets across Durham's historic centre, taking in a craft and producers' marquee of over 180 stalls on Palace Green, a regional food and drink market in the cathedral cloisters, and an outdoor festive market in the Market Place. A children's lantern parade closes the festival on the Sunday and places are reserved in advance. The city centre is cobbled and hilly, so a carrier may be easier than a pushchair.
