Derry Halloween
Europe's best-known Halloween festival marks its 40th year with an illuminated walking trail through the historic Walled City, followed by a costumed carnival parade and a fireworks finale. It is a large, very crowded outdoor event suited to all ages but best for confident families with older children; no booking is needed but arriving early for a good spot is sensible.
