Christmas at Beamish

Beamish dresses its Georgian, Edwardian and 1950s areas for Christmas from late November to Christmas Eve, with period shops, festive characters and trams carrying visitors between the areas. It is a large, largely outdoor site with plenty of indoor buildings to warm up in, and it suits all ages, though it involves a good deal of walking. General admission needs no timed slot, but Father Christmas's grotto sells separately and must be booked online in advance.
