Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace
The handover of the King's Guard outside Buckingham Palace, with Foot Guards in bearskins and red tunics marching with a military band. It is free to watch from the railings or along The Mall, but crowds build well before the 11am start, so arriving early helps with small children. Ceremonies can be cancelled at short notice, so check the calendar the day before.
